This is a 1986 Corvette with a 92 Tail. I bought it with the motor replaced about 7,000 miles ago with a GM Crate 350 that had a 292 Crane Cam, Roller Rockers, high performance Aluminum Single Plane Intake with a Holley 750 Dual Feed, single Pump Carb.
The transmission was also converted at same time to a 350 Turbo Automatic with a close Ratio 1st Gear, Mild Shift Kit and 2800 Stall Converter, it has 87k miles on odometer. The body needed alot of TLC to the cracking paint on nose and parking lot fights.
It was painted Torch Red then a Dark Metallic Red strip was faded on hood and sides, then the large Emblem was airbrushed with Pearl, the body bumper moldings were painted Black then the whole car was then clear-coated with Red Pearl in it that makes it very sparkly.
The interior needed alot of help, I replaced the seats with red and black cloth reclinable ones retaining original electrics on drivers side and also seat belts. Built a custom console with LED lights in its compartments and inside armrest compartment. Installed a 12 piece Rosewood Kit.
The steering wheel was replaced with a Custom Red and Black Racing Wheel and retained the tilt and telescopic, it has a close ratio steering gear box.
The windshield is also new. The electric locks are stiff. The right front brake rotor was replaced and new pads installed.
This is not a flawless show car, but is a very nice Custom Corvette that is an one of a kind eye catcher and is very fun to drive, very spunky! Since all work been done it has approximately 20 miles put on it and always kept in garage and covered.
